Suspension of In-Person Networking Events
Due to the developing situation regarding COVID-19(coronavirus) and upon the recommendation of social distancing by leading health organizations, all in-person networking events organized by the Elizabethton/Carter County Chamber of Commerce have been suspended until further notice. This includes the annual Legislative Breakfast scheduled for Friday, March 20th, which will be postponed to a later date.

- Actively encourage sick employees to stay home
- Separate sick employees
- Emphasize staying home when sick, respiratory etiquette and hand hygiene by all employees

Quick tips from the SBA on marketing: Communicate openly with your customers about the status of your operations, what protective measures you’ve implemented, and how they (as customers) will be protected when they visit your business. Promotions may also help incentivize customers who may be reluctant to patronize your business.
