The annual Downtown Elizabethton Christmas Parade occurred Saturday, December 7th with more than seventy entrants and hundreds of attendees. With great weather and an amazing turnout, the event was a time of joy and community for everyone involved.

The honor of Grand Marshal was bestowed upon the new Main Street Elizabethton program, with representatives Courtney Washburn, Frankie Bailey, and Marcia Ross.

After compiling scores from multiple judges, the winners of best float for the 2019 parade include Carter County 4-H receiving first place, Elizabethton Collision being second, and Carter County School Bus Garage third. There was an abundance of creativity all around and we greatly appreciate the amount of work that all participants put into creating a special evening for those in attendance.

We want to thank everyone that made this event possible; from the street department to the police force, everyone played a part in this spectacular community event. Thank you and Merry Christmas!
