Annual Chamber EventsThe Elizabethton Carter County Chamber of Commerce organizes a variety of members-only activities to promote networking among our business members as well as community events throughout the year. The Membership Breakfasts provides a monthly opportunity for networking, while other activities are scheduled at different times during the year. All members are notified via the e-newsletter of upcoming events, activities, and programs that may be of interest to your business.
Annual Membership Meeting - Chamber members have the opportunity to gather to meet the new Chamber President and Board members while enjoying networking with the community. The Annual Meeting is a ticketed event open to the public.
Christmas Parade- The 1st Saturday of December, Downtown Elizabethton's streets are lined with members of the community coming out to celebrate Christmas and to see Santa Claus riding the Fire Truck! Each year, a different theme is chosen giving members of the community, churches, businesses and schools the opportunity to decorate a float in festive fun.
Covered Bridge Celebration- Every June, 4 days of music, fun and festivities occur in downtown Elizabethton. Entering the hometown of the “Queen of the Doe” will encourage festival goers to come enjoy this year’s celebration which will include live music, homemade crafts and décor in the Covered Bridge Park, and fabulous food.
Frasier Fir Tree Lighting- The lighting of the Frasier Fir in Downtown Elizabethton marks the beginning of the Holiday season. The Elizabethton Frasier Fir is the largest living decorated Christmas Tree.
Golf Tournament- The Chamber Golf Tournament is open to the public allowing members and non-members to enjoy a networking luncheon, 18 holes of golf, prizes, and post-game awards ceremony during this annual event.
Legislative Breakfast- Every year, our local officials, state legislatures and federal representatives are invited to provide updates on legislative issues during our catered breakfast.
Membership Breakfasts -A Chamber member only event held the 4th Thursday of each month for with an average attendance of 50-70. This breakfast meeting offers networking time and provides an opportunity to learn more about the host business. Each breakfast is sponsored by a Chamber member, who can update the membership on their products and services.
Taste of Carter County- An event showcasing some of the county’s best eateries and caterers.
